In a high-volume photography business, “Retouching” refers to skin: reducing blemishes, wrinkles, rings under eyes, pores, specular skin sheen, and so on. It does not refer to restoring old photographs, removing rips or stains, removing stray hairs, or reshaping faces.

Retouching is a matter of taste; some people prefer very subtle effects while others report that their customers want an almost-airbrushed look.

Our method is to let you choose: when we set your account up, we’ll take a sample image and process out three alternative versions, allowing you to choose a look compatible with your customers expectations.
